Job description

As our Head of Clinical Affairs, you'll play a pivotal role in connecting innovative AI technology with real-world clinical impact. This is a global role that spans continents, giving you the chance to collaborate with some of the most advanced healthcare providers and institutions, such as Texas Stroke Institute, Amsterdam UMC, and Gold Coast University Hospital.

From managing cutting-edge research studies to training top clinicians and collaborating with KOLs from landmark trials like MR CLEAN, your contributions will directly influence the future of acute care. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required:

  • MD degree, with preferably clinical experience in stroke, neurology, radiology, or emergency medicine.

  • Ability to build relationships with KOLs and healthcare institutions.

  • Deep understanding of acute care processes, particularly in stroke management and imaging workflows.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey clinical concepts to diverse audiences.

+ Nice to Have:

  • Experience with healthcare IT systems, reimbursement strategies, or regulatory frameworks.

  • Network within the Neurovascular domain

  • PhD in Stroke or other clinical area

  • Experience in managing grant processes, including meeting deliverable requirements, writing detailed reports, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.



Job requirements

WHAT YOU’LL DO

1. Clinical Leadership

  • Act as Nicolab’s primary clinical expert, directly advising the leadership team on medical and scientific matters while implementing the clinical strategy to support product development, adoption, and market success.

  • Integrate Nicolab solutions into clinical workflows by actively engaging with clinicians and healthcare institutions to improve efficiency and outcomes.

  • Deliver actionable clinical insights to guide the company’s long-term vision and strategy.

  • Personally conduct training sessions for internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure thorough understanding and effective use of Nicolab’s clinical solutions.

  • Align with the clinical regulatory team to prepare clinical evidence, draft justifications, and respond to regulatory inquiries to support submissions and post-market surveillance.

  • Develop and maintain a clinical knowledge base, including guidelines and FAQs, to directly support sales efforts.

2. Evidence Generation and Research

  • Align with the clinical regulatory team to design, execute, and manage clinical trials, real-world evidence studies, and research projects to validate product efficacy and cost-effectiveness.

  • Develop and implement evidence strategies targeting critical metrics such as clinical outcome, and time to treatment.

  • Build and maintain direct collaborations with research partners and healthcare institutions to conduct impactful studies.

  • Monitor and report on emerging research and technology changes affecting diagnostic and treatment pathway.

3. Market Adoption and Customer Engagement

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to directly communicate the clinical value of Nicolab’s solutions to healthcare providers.
  • Build and sustain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and clinical and commercial partners
  • Represent Nicolab at conferences, in publications, and during stakeholder engagements.
  • Support the customer success and sales team in conducting product demonstrations.
  • Create and present customised clinical case studies for specific audiences, including hospital administrators and KOLs.

4. Product Development and Innovation

  • Apply clinical expertise to cross-functional teams to directly shape product features and workflows that align with customer priorities.
  • Collaborate with teams to address clinician needs, including optimising hub-and-spoke setups and workflows.

  • Manage subsidies and grants by personally coordinating consortium partnerships, ensuring compliance, and delivering timely reports.

5. Industry Monitoring

  • Continuously monitor market trends and competitive products, delivering actionable insights on their strengths, weaknesses, and clinical implications.
  • Create and manage a clinical advisory board to gather direct feedback and ensure Nicolab’s solutions address real-world challenges.
