Google Workspace Engineer

We are growing globally and therefore looking for a Google Workspace Engineer who will strengthen and maintain our IT Systems and workplaces with respect to cyber security requirements, and international and industry regulations. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in shaping IT processes and the IT environment in a rapidly growing organization:

  • Windows, MacOS workplaces connected to Google Workspace Services,
  • planning - Atlassian Jira Software, instant messaging - Slack,

  • Ensure implementation and usage of the Google Workspace Services (Directory, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Meet and others) efficiently and effectively meets company needs and verify it is integrated with other tools and processes.

  • Responsible for the overall Google Workspace account management process integrated with the organization's IAM. Manage user, resource, and shared drive life cycles.

  • Diagnose and resolve mail routing issues. Configure and manage security, compliance, and spam rules.

  • Manage and secure our Windows- and Macbooks fleet. Enabling and tuning anti-phishing and anti-malware controls.

  • Support employees in our Amsterdam office alongside our hybrid and remote workforce. Manage support requests via Slack, Email, and in person.

  • Support and administer a large variety of the latest collaboration, productivity, security and workplace tools. Collaborate with all departments on projects that drive efficiency and cost optimization in our SaaS tools.

  • Manage alerts (suspicious logging activity, apps outages, user activity).

Job requirements


Your goal is to deliver the optimal and secure IT environment for your colleagues with a focus on workplace services. You will design, implement and configure changes and introduce new technologies to our workplace and business support systems. You have experience and vision for designing and tuning the user’s environment in today’s world. You have experience working in an ISO 27001 compliant management system preferably including ISO 13485 (Medical Devices) and have basic knowledge of data processing regulations like GDPR and HIPAA.


  • 2+ years of experience in an IT Support role managing macOS and Windows systems and administering Google Workspace Services (Directory, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Meet and others). 

  • Strong expertise in email, email infrastructure, mail transfer protocols, mail access protocols, email security, spam, phishing and virus protection.

  • Solid understanding of Identity and Access Management (SSO, accounts provisioning, etc), application security and data protection.

  • Knowledge and experience with implementing Information Security Controls, preferably in an ISO 27001-compliant management system, including ISO 13485 (Medical Devices).

  • Proven ability to work independently in a partially remote environment with limited supervision.

  • Formal education in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.

  • Communication skills, written and oral in English
